This beachfront home underwent a rebuild and renovation from the original 1960s beach cottage.
The clients, who had downsized from a massive family home, were looking for a ‘beach-change’. The brief was to create a ‘not so beach vibe’ and to lean into an elegant but casual aesthetic that echoed the style of their previous residence while embracing a fresh approach.
The Master Bedroom, with its luxury adjoining twin ensuite, needed to be a particularly special example of this type of ‘pretty’ by featuring luxury linens, crystal chandeliers and a crisp green and white palette. Modernist reading lights were installed to create a playful but functional twist to the traditional style. Blossoms, birds and greenery adorned the stunning Chinoiserie-style luxury wallpaper selected to bring the outside in and serve as a reminder of the beautiful gardens they had left behind.
